You are witnessing something historical.
That would be me getting off my rear end and starting something brand new.
I’m a lifelong procrastinator and it takes serious motivation to strike out in a new direction but that’s exactly what I’m doing. I may be exiting the comfort zone but my heart tells me that I must.
1. Why am I launching this substack account?
I’ve been a broadcast personality and voice talent for nearly 40 years. I’ve also written professionally for 20 years. As a commentator, I’ve never lacked for something to say.
I’m ready to steer away from the usual hot button political topics and to focus instead on something that leaves my audience with a greater sense of who they are and what they stand for rather than what they are against.
What I’ll be sharing on a regular basis aren’t exactly secrets.
They’re more like small treasures that are easy to overlook when we’re distracted by other things. Gems of peace and purpose that are hiding in plain sight, if you will.
2. Who am I hoping to reach?
I’m looking to connect with and inspire those individuals who can plainly see the challenges before us, yet are ready to start improving the world around them—starting with themselves. I hope to create a community of courageous, wise and thoughtful individuals who inspire greatness in the people around them.
3. How often will you hear from me?
I will be publishing Hyde In Plain Sight as a daily feature Monday through Friday. Pretty ambitious, right? Don’t worry, we’re talking about a daily essay of roughly 250 words that shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes to read and process.
My goal is a short daily feature that provides a tantalizing taste of mental and spiritual nourishment rather than trying to chug a full size drink or wolf down a heavy entree.
For those who wish to hear the audio version of this program (spoken in my most dulcet tones), it will be an option for paid subscribers.
Come walk with me and let’s explore the hidden gems and insights that bring peace and purpose to our lives.
